My name is Lewis the owner and craftsman for pipeworkpieces on Etsy . I am so glad to have you stop by. Every piece I make is handmade by myself so you know anything you order from me will be made with TLC.
I am in love with the steampunk, industrial style and retro era type pieces and have turned my love for these eras into hand crafted pieces for your home. It does not matter if it is an industrial style shoe rack, dog bowl feeder, towel rack or even one of my unique free standing toilet papers stands all my pieces are hand made by me and will for sure be made for you as if I was making it for my own home.
The biggest compliment I get is when a customer sends me a picture of their new piece in their home and tell me about all the compliments they receive on the new addition to their home.

So sorry about the signature but since I ship all my pieces with UPS fully insured they automatically make it require a signature. I still think the little bit of a bother for a signature out weighs shipping it not insured :) Lew

5 out of 5 starsI love this! The seller was very communicative and helped me pick out the exact color stain I wanted. He texted me pictures of my project as it progressed and also secured the whole food bin in thick bubble wrap to protect it when shipping. The product looks so well done and I’m excited to show it off. It holds my dog’s 40lb bag of food comfortably with a little of extra room up top. One thing I think would be really cool would be a liner of some sort or maybe a snug fitting container inside so you can dump the food into the container without the food oil soaking into the wood.

I’m so happy you love your bin. I would not put anything plastic inside as I have researched on Google and they say putting kibble directly onto plastic of any type is really not good for the kibble or the pups health.

Wood sizing
The depths of my shelves are listing in nominal dimensions. Please Google "Nominal Wood Dimensions" for more details.
For example a 2"x12" (used on shoe racks and shelves and dog bowls) nominal is actually 1 1/2" x 11 1/4" after drying, planing and sanding.
- 2"x10" is 1 1/2" x 9 1/4",
- 2"x8" is 1 1/2" x 7 1/4",
- 2"x6" is 1 1/2" x 5 1/2".
That's the way the wood is produced from the wood mill.
The maximum depth that all wood manufacturers make is 11 1/4".
Care instructions
solid pine wood is purchased from my wood supply shops. I recommend that you hand rub the wood conditioner of your choice as soon as you install your item. And re-apply the conditioner frequently to retain the satin finish, and to help eliminate warping of the rustic wood, especially if it is installed in a humid environment. Beeswax is a very effective wood conditioner.
Rustic may have aggressive growth rings, wane, knots, some bowing and twisting, and an occasional crack. That is the desired look of my industrial products. I hand pick my wood based on this.
I do not try to make my wood look distressed by hammering them with tools or chains or other DIY blog techniques. You simply can't make the boards look good with these techniques.
